With the WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram integrations, if the AI chatbot responds immediately after the user's message, it can easily be detected as an AI bot, leading to a poor user experience when using our AI bot for roleplay.

## New Feature
To address this, we've launched a feature to delay the AI agent's response for a configurable amount of time. You can configure the delay time range for each integration. The AI chatbot will randomly delay its response within the range you set, making it harder to detect as an AI bot.

To configure this, simply click the **WhatsApp**, **Messenger** or **Instagram** integration card in the **Integrations** tab.


For example, with the configuration above, the AI chatbot will randomly delay its response uniformly between 0 to 1800 seconds after the response has been generated.

Currently, the average delay time range is between 0 to 2 hours, with the variance range being less than the average time. Therefore, the maximum delay time is less than 4 hours.

### What’s New?

- **Speak & Hear:**  
  Users can now click the microphone icon in the chatbot widget—or in Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Discord, and Slack integrations—to speak directly with your chatbot. Once the chatbot responds, simply click the text to hear the transcribed audio.

- **Multilingual Capabilities:**  
  - Audio input now supports **159 locales**.  
  - Enjoy responses with one of **519 voices across 152 locales**.  
  - Our multilingual voice detection and audio player ensure a seamless experience.

- **Customizable Settings:**  
  This feature is automatically enabled for all paid customers at no extra cost with these default settings:  
  - **Default Locales:** en-US, zh-CN, and es-ES  
  - **Default Voice:** en-US-RyanMultilingualNeural  
  To adjust your preferred locales (up to four for voice-to-text detection) and voices, simply go to **Settings > Chat Interface**. You can also disable the feature if desired.

### How It Works:

1. **Activate Audio:**  
   Click the microphone icon to speak with your chatbot.
2. **Multiplatform Support:**  
   Enjoy audio interactions across our chatbot widget and popular platforms like Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Discord, and Slack.

## Key Updates:

- **Exclusive Phone Number Usage:**  
  - The WhatsApp phone number connected to your chatbot is now reserved exclusively for chatbot use—it cannot be used on WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business.
  - **Action Required:** If you are already using the number with WhatsApp, delete your account or disable two-step verification (for Meta Developer accounts) to free up the number.

- **Simplified WhatsApp Connection Process:**  
  - **Seamless Integration:** Navigate to Dashboard > [Chatbot] > Integrations and select the WhatsApp integration card.
  - **Embedded Signup Flow:**  
    1. Click **Connect** in the pop-up window.
    2. Sign in with your personal Facebook account.
    3. Click **Get started** and choose or create a business profile.
    4. Set up or select an existing WhatsApp business profile.
    5. Add a phone number (it's best to have just one associated number).
    6. Click **Continue**, allow for information verification, and then click **Finish**.
  - Enjoy up to 1000 free messages each month—add a payment method in Meta billing settings for additional messaging.

- **System User Access Token Signup Process:**  
  - **Fallback Integration:** In case you encounter Facebook authorization issues during the embedded signup:
    1. Develop your WhatsApp application following Meta's guidance.
    3. Go to the Integrations tab in your chatbot menu, click **Add to WhatsApp**, and enter your access token.
    4. Add and verify your phone number.
    5. Set up the callback URL in your WhatsApp App to subscribe to message events.

- **Live Chat Handover:**  
  - When the AI chatbot cannot provide a satisfactory response, you can take over with our live chat panel.
  - As a human agent, use the Live Chat dashboard or filter WhatsApp conversations to select the desired thread.
  - Turn off the AI chatbot for that conversation to ensure only your response is sent to the customer.
  - If the customer replies while you're offline, you'll receive an email with a link to the chat portal.

- **Automatic AI Chatbot Pause:**  
  - Configure an automatic pause (up to 1 week) during WhatsApp integration. During this period, customer messages bypass the AI and go directly to you via email notifications.
  - The AI chatbot will automatically resume after the specified duration.

## Get Started:
- **Existing WhatsApp Users:**  
  Follow the preliminary steps to delete your WhatsApp account or disable two-step verification so your number is free for integration.
- **New WhatsApp Integration:**  
  Simply head to the Integrations tab on your Dashboard and follow the guided steps to connect your WhatsApp account.
